Condition guide
Every listing carries one of these grades, plus notes and photos of anything specific to that unit.
- New
- Brand new in the original, unopened packaging.
- New, damaged packaging
- The product is brand new and unused. The box or packaging is torn, dented or marked.
- Open box
- Opened and inspected by us, complete with all parts and accessories. Shows no signs of use.
- Like new
- Looks and works like new. May be missing the original packaging or a manual.
- Very good
- Light cosmetic wear you have to look for. Fully working, all essential parts included.
- Good
- Visible cosmetic wear such as scuffs or scratches, described and photographed in the listing. Fully working.
How we inspect
- Anything with a plug or a battery is powered on and run through its basic functions.
- Sets are counted against the manufacturer's parts list. A missing piece is either sourced or disclosed in the condition notes.
- Cosmetic wear is photographed. The condition photos on a listing show the actual unit you receive, not a stock image.
- Sealed items stay sealed. Beauty, personal-care, feeding and oral-care products are only sold sealed.
- Baby and children's items are checked against the current recall list on the day they are listed.
Open box versus like new
Open box means we opened it to inspect it and it shows no use. Like new means a previous owner had it briefly; it looks and works like new but may be missing original packaging or paperwork. Both are priced well below a sealed unit.
